RRN has confirmed that CarltonOne, the Canada-based global supplier of program management and rewards fulfillment, provides the technology behind this new Apple consumer distribution partnership with Klarna, the pay-by-month consumer buying outlet for consumers.
According to confirmed reports, the Apple storefront is powered by CarltonOne’s Global Rewards Solution (GRS) platform used to fulfill rewards in185 countries. CarltonOne’s Kart platform for employee stores already provides the ability to purchase brands without interest on payment plans.
As of press time this week, Rob Purdy, CarltonOne CEO, could not be reached for comment on the potential implications of this new consumer storefront agreement with Apple.
Klarna is a Swedish fintech company launched 2005 and in the US in 2015. Apple’s dedicated storefront on Klarna’s app and website, enabling people to buy Apple products through Klarna's "buy now, pay later" platform, is designed to make the Apple products more accessible to a broader audience.
CarltonOne was recently purchased by Goldman Sachs Assets.
